About ConfigHub.gg & Editorial Methodology

Last updated October 14, 2026

How ConfigHub.gg documents, verifies, and maintains competitive shooter configurations and hardware data.

1. Our mission & what we build

ConfigHub.gg is an independent technical reference and engineering toolset for competitive shooter players. We document verified in-game settings, mouse sensitivity and eDPI calibrations, resolution scaling, crosshair geometry, and peripheral choices across six titles: Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and Overwatch 2.

Beyond player reference profiles, we build client-side utilities that solve concrete technical problems—including our CS2 Rush Hour crosshair code converter (which translates legacy pre-September 2026 share codes into resolution-independent pixel values), our cm/360° yaw sensitivity converter, and our game & Windows frame-pacing guides.

2. Source hierarchy & verification rules

Every setting published on ConfigHub.gg must trace to a recorded source URL, source type, and check timestamp. We never guess, extrapolate, or copy unverified numbers to make a table look full: if a value is unknown, it remains blank.

Our automated and editorial checks rank sources in strict order of authority:

  • Primary sources (Player Bot Commands & Official Posts): A player's own public Nightbot or StreamElements chat command (such as !sens, !res, or !crosshair) on their verified Twitch channel takes precedence over any secondary table.
  • Tournament & Wiki Records: Roster memberships, team changes, and baseline hardware tables adapted from Liquipedia (under CC BY-SA 3.0) and Valve Regional Standings data.
  • Derived Math: Effective DPI (eDPI) and physical turn distance (cm/360°) are computed directly from verified DPI and in-game sensitivity using each engine's exact yaw constant.

3. Continuous auditing & public change history

Competitive players adjust sensitivities, swap mice, and test new resolutions throughout a season. Our checker inspects public stream commands twice daily. Whenever a player's command output differs from the value on file, ConfigHub updates the profile, records the previous and new values, and publishes the timestamped entry on our What Changed log.

4. How our FPS & system guides are tested

Our FPS optimization guides only recommend settings backed by engine documentation, GPU vendor telemetry (NVIDIA Reflex, AMD Anti-Lag 2), and repeatable frame-time testing. We explicitly warn against registry cleaners, third-party "booster" executables, disabling Windows Security, or folklore launch options that cause shader-cache stutter.

5. Editorial independence & funding

As an Amazon Associate, ConfigHub.gg earns from qualifying purchases.

Hardware leaderboards and player gear lists are ranked strictly by how many tracked professionals use each product. Manufacturers cannot pay to alter usage percentages, recommended setups, or guide conclusions.

6. Corrections & contact
